“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple” Dr. Seuss
Lately everything I’ve been thinking about revolves around a similar thread: moving forward with love.
New year, new growth, new lessons in a complicated world. We’re all badly in need of more and more and more love, not less, and I’ve realized that offering multitudes of love to those who need it has always been one of my favorite things to do.
I see you. I hear you. I celebrate you. I love you. It’s that simple.
Let’s shower each other with love today, please.

Isaac turned 7 months at the beginning of January. His life has been the most clear growth journey for me this year. We took advantage of the recent snowfall to take his sticker photos outside.
I wish I’d had the stickers finished in time for Isaac to use the whole set from the start, but it’s been SO exciting for me to begin seeing photos of new babies using the first few months.
Keep tagging me (#elizabethmcdart) and / or sending me your photos – I LOVE to see them. You can also find the sticker set here.

I’m also feeling really excited about what’s coming up for my business this year.
We’re working on a new website that better serves my business (so excited!), I’ll begin a new painting project in the next few weeks (and will tell you about it soon!), and I am actively pursuing new partnerships. Gone are the days of playing it small because it’s intimidating to connect with people or companies I admire.
Here’s the original ‘Let’s go on an adventure’ painting, which we framed recently. I love how the simple white helps the painting to pop. I’ll plan on framing some of my other thinner paintings as well.
I’ve also added my two newest prints to the shop: ‘I trust my path’ and ‘Love, love, love.’
Both messages feel so powerful to me as we head into the new year, and you can find both prints in the shop here.
So much can be boiled down to trusting (yourself, others) and loving (yourself, others).
2017 is a year of action and I’ve committed to showing up even when I feel scared (especially when I feel scared), and paring back to reach what feels best: quality time with my people, repairing my health after pregnancy / the newborn days, and lots of soul-time making new artwork.
After all, my word for 2017 is CREATE.
Here’s to doing what we can during each day in the ways that feel best. Trust that you’re on the right path and even when you feel the questions and doubt creep in, remember that love is always a good answer.
We’ve got this. Have a wonderful day!
With love,
